Privacy policy

Viewings is operated by [ENTITY NAME, KVK number, address] in the Netherlands. We are the data controller for the personal data we process about you.

You can reach our data team at privacy@viewings.nl.

Account data — email, name (optional), role (seeker / agent / admin), and login provider details from Clerk.

Viewing data — addresses, listing URLs, your preferred dates, and the inspection checklist you choose.

Landlord / agency contact — optional name, phone, and email of the landlord. This is shared only with the agent assigned to your viewing, and only after they accept the job.

Payment data — payment metadata (amount, status, timestamps) and the Stripe PaymentIntent ID. We never see your card details — those go directly to Stripe.

Viewing report— your agent's findings, free- text notes, and any photos or video they upload.

Chat messages — the conversation between you and your agent, retained for the duration of the request and a short audit window afterwards.

We process this data on the bases of: contract (delivering the viewing service you paid for), legitimate interest (preventing fraud, defending disputes, improving the service), and consent (specifically: sharing your landlord's contact with the assigned agent).

We share necessary data with our subprocessors (Clerk for auth, Stripe for payments and payouts, Resend for email, Cloudflare R2 for media storage, Neon for the database, Vercel for hosting). A full list is on the subprocessors page.

We do not sell your data, ever.

Under GDPR you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing. Email privacy@viewings.nl and we'll respond within thirty days.

You can also file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

We use a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to work (authentication, payment fraud detection). We do not use marketing or tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (Plausible) does not use cookies.

We'll email you about material changes to this policy at least thirty days before they take effect.
